Responsibilities:
- Providing specialist advice on the design and development of all Concrete Mixes (continual maintenance of compressive strength, improvement of rheological properties, workability, pumpability, etc.)
- Ensuring that all concrete mix designs and constituent materials used comply with the designers Appendix 17/1, HS2 requirements and conformity with BS EN 206 / BS 8500
- Ensuring that the concrete supplier is working to the latest design information and providing technical advice and support where required
- Reviewing and approving (as and when authorised) concrete related Inspection & Test Plans (I&TP)
Skills and Experiences:
- Proven experience in the concrete production and/or concrete quality control
- Proven experience in leading teams.
- Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate works
